Singapore 1990 error missing flag

Date of Issue: 16 August 1990,  Description: 15c One Nation

Designed by Chua Ban Har; printed litho by Harrison in booklets (2 x 5); 250,000 booklets issued, this (red) color omitted caused army under embarrassing with white flag surrender. According to WIKI,  the white flag is an internationally recognized protective sign of truce or ceasefire, and request for negotiation. It is also used to symbolize surrender, since it is often the weaker military party which requests negotiation.
